There’s something special about being outside in the autumn air and taking in beautiful art. It’s something we love in Louisville, especially in October! This time of year, we can usually enjoy a multitude of arts and crafts festivals but many of these annual events have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While you may be limited in options that combine these loves, below are some great outdoor spots in Louisville as well as places to enjoy artwork. Links are provided so you can easily check operating hours and admission fees (if any). For those who prefer to stay indoors this year, some of the art festivals are being offered virtually.

This year, Iroquois Park’s “Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular” will be a drive-through event!
Fifteen miles from Louisville, a favorite place to go pumpkin picking is Joe Huber’s Family Farm.
Just over the bridge in Clarksville, IN, you can walk on fossil beds that are over 300 million years old! Beds are accessible when the river level is low. Falls of the Ohio is truly amazing.
